I’m Alice, London-based, Yorkshire-bred and wearer of many metaphorical hats. Baker, cook, stylist, recipe developer and creative consultant, I work across a breadth of creative avenues. I’ve worked within the food industry since 2017, learning as I go alongside some wonderful humans. After graduating from university with a BA in Womenswear, I switched the scissors for a spatula, and now spend time donning an apron. I started in the catering industry on music tours, working on shows including Robbie Williams, Arctic Monkeys, Lorde and Flight of the Concords.

In 2019 I founded Lovely Buns, a plant-based bakery producing cookies, buns and cakes and delivering locally, posting nationwide and supplying London coffee shops. It also gave me the oppurtunity to host plant-based baking workshops at The Dusty Knuckle Bakery School. I grew the business during the pandemic and moved from my home-kitchen to kitchen unit, allowing me to increase production, baking over 20,000 cookies in my final year. After almost 3 years in business, it became apparent my creativity had gone astray, and it was time for a fresh start.

My new chapter has allowed me to recover my creativity, further exploring my love of independent business, whilst connecting with familiar and fresh faces. I’ve catered supper clubs and yoga retreats, hosted plant-based baking workshops, baked multiple wedding cakes, creativity-curated interiors, strategised a boutique food business and developed recipes.

Food styling feels like the glue that sticks together my creativity and love for delicious, good-looking food. I’ve been lucky to work alongside some incredible food stylists, assisting on shoots for Guardian Feast, Ocado Mag, Hennessy and cookbooks yet to be released.

If you’d like to chat about working together, styling/assisting on a shoot, developing recipes or anything else please get in touch.
